Information You Submit
Terms entered in search. A name, place, or other term entered into a partner search tool is sent to the third party that operates that tool. Talbot County Recent Arrests does not keep or log those terms on its own systems.
Messages sent to us. If you email us or use a contact form, we retain the message and return details as needed to respond. We do not share a message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected
Ordinary server and analytics records may capture details when a page loads.
- Your internet protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and similar tools. Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and may support advertising. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
Reasons We Use Data
Collected information supports the site’s basic operation and helps us understand whether its Talbot County record paths work as intended.
- Operate the pages and improve speed
- Send a search to the selected partner
- Measure which content visitors use
- Diagnose errors and security issues
- Display advertising that may reflect interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to the Talbot County roster, Sheriff records pages, Maryland corrections and court services, federal locators, or outside search tools. The destination’s privacy policy controls after you leave this site.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through their systems, not ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be handled by:
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- Analytics providers measuring site use
- Advertising networks delivering ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Our Security Approach
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No online service, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may contact us and ask that it be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, a person may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Ask that eligible data be erased
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
These choices apply to data controlled by this site. Requests about an official arrest record must go to the government custodian under the Maryland Public Information Act.
